We’re starting a new weekly social dance!
This is a 3-month trial run, and if it goes well then we’ll keep it going in the new year. We’ve had a number of people asking for a variety of things, such as earlier social dances, non-Friday dances, more opportunities to dance, and chances to dance to all that great recorded music. We’re trying to help you get all the things!
It’s worth pointing out that there is no intro lesson at this dance, so if you’re new to swing or bringing a friend who is new to the dance, Fridays are a MUCH better way to go with its drop-in intro lesson.
Dates: Every Tuesday from Sept 23rd to Dec 9th (when in doubt, check the calendar for exact dates)
Time: 7:45pm until 9:45pm (we’re trying for an earlier end because it’s Tuesday)
Location: Saint Matthias Anglican Church at 600 Richmond Ave, on the corner of Richardson Street.
Price for bands: $18 regular admission, or $15 for a student
Price for DJs: $12 regular admission, or $10 for a student
Music is on a four-week rotating schedule:
Sept 23rd – Atomic Cocktails
Sept 30th – Capital City Syncopators
Oct 7th – either DJed or a band we’re still trying to confirm
Oct 14th – either that band or DJed
Finally, we recommend bringing a water bottle or something else to drink from. We have access to water from a tap in the kitchen, but there’s no fountain or cups at this venue.
